Playground for Blue Springs and Clements Track Project Update:   We have made real progress on launching the project to build a playground, play field (including soccer field) and eight lane track as well as a cross country/fitness track at the site of the new Blue Springs Elementary School.  We completed our first month of Fund Raising collecting $19,800 in donations and pledges or 30% of our goal of $65,000.  Area Businesses, Parents and Grandparents, Alumni and Teachers are all beginning to come together to participate in this exciting project for our children and the community.  The plans still call for having the new playground installed before opening day of the new school year.  A picture of the playground will be available soon.  Design work for the tracks has begun and the track and trail will follow completion of the playground.  A team of teachers and volunteers is working on grants that will assist in paying for the new facilities.  Please consider donating or pledging.  Also, Please remember to save your General Mills box tops and bring them in to Coach Williamson as these will be a contributor to our fundraising success.   We will continue to provide updates as the project proceeds.   Gary W.
