
Clements High School Guidance and Counseling Mission Statement:
The mission of Clements High School Guidance and Counseling Program is to provide all students a safe and nurturing environment that facilitates their social, academic, and career development so that they can become life-long learners and productive citizens.
Introduction:
Clements High School provides a comprehensive, developmental guidance program that benefits students in grades 6 – 12, parents, teachers and the community. It is an integral part of the school’s total educational programming.
The program is organized around the components of guidance curriculum, individual planning, responsive services, and system support and focuses on academic development, career development, and personal/social development. The program is implemented at Clements by certified high school, part-time middle counselors that work in conjunction with teachers, administrators, students, and parents.
Guidance Curriculum:
Our guidance curriculum provides students with a variety of developmentally appropriate learning experiences presented in a systematic way through classroom guidance, small group and individual meetings. The curriculum is organized around three major areas:
