October:

  • Drug Awareness- Red Ribbon Week
  • ALCA Chapter I Fall Meeting
  • Elks Club Student of the Month
  • Organize and administer PSAT
  • Classroom Guidance on character ed and on learning styles and self concept
  • Work with 8th grade students in Kuder to create 4-year plans

November:

  • Classroom guidance on coping skills and decision making
  • Financial Aid orientation
  • Attend Alabama Counseling Association Conference

December:

  • Arrange Christmas charities for various families
  • Classroom guidance on Bullying/Intervention

January:

  • Organize the Administration of the Performance Series Test
  • Organize and coordinate ASVAB test
  • Begin Pre-registration with grades 6-11
  • Discuss Early Release Program, Accelerated High School and Dual Enrollment Student Programs with Juniors
  • Update 4-year educational plans
  • Invite North Alabama Center for Educational Excellence representative to discuss FAFSA’s
  • Classroom guidance on peer interaction and problem-solving
  • Continue individual 8th-grade meetings
